Together, they bring jazz, folk, pop and African rhythm into a distinctive shared sound.MEET THE ARTISTSPAUL HANMERPaul Hanmer is a jazz pianist and composer with over 40 years in the industry, having collaborated with the likes of Miriam Makeba, Sibongile Khumalo, and Ray Phiri along the way. He has written music for jazz artists, orchestras, chamber groups and solo artists in predominantly jazz and classical styles. His 1997 debut album, Trains to Taung, reshaped the sound of South African jazz piano, and remains a landmark work to this day. He has received 2 SAMAs for Best Contemporary Jazz Album for Trains to Taung and Window to Elsewhere.WENDY OLDFIELDWendy Oldfield has been writing and performing since 1983, from The Sweatband's hit "This Boy" through to a solo career built on songs like "Acid Rain", "New Dress" and "Pale Blue Dot". Along the way she picked up an Oktave Award, an FNB Pop Album of the Year and three SAMA Awards, all while playing hundreds of shows a year at her peak.
