Zawadi YaMungu Live at The Chairman

Sunday, 15 November 2026 | Doors open at 13:00 | Show starts at 16:00Some artists perform for an audience. Others invite you into their world. Zawadi YaMungu does both.On Sunday, 15 November, the award-winning vocalist, composer and instrumentalist returns to The Chairman for an electrifying homecoming, bringing with her the spirit, soul and generosity that have made her such a compelling presence on the African music scene.Last seen at The Chairman in November 2024 for her Ngimuhle album-launch show, Zawadi returns with a journey that has continued to gather remarkable momentum. Since then, her debut album has reached new audiences, her work has earned prestigious industry recognition, and her artistry has travelled beyond South Africa’s borders. With a SAMA nomination for Best African Adult Contemporary Album and three Basadi in Music Awards nominations in 2026, she continues to affirm the place of indigenous African music on the mainstream stage.Rooted in heritage yet unafraid to explore new sonic territories, Zawadi weaves her powerful voice through the evocative sounds of indigenous instruments, contemporary rhythms and deeply resonant storytelling. Her music is at once a celebration of African identity, an offering of healing and an invitation to reconnect with the stories, sounds and traditions that shape us.But it is on stage that Zawadi truly comes alive.Expect an immersive, soul-stirring and electrifying performance from an artist who gives generously of herself, holding nothing back and leaving everything on stage. Every song becomes an encounter; every instrument carries a story; every moment offers something to feel, remember and take home with you.EVENT DETAILSDate: Sunday, 15 November 2026Venue: The Chairman, 146 Mahatma Gandhi Road, Point, DurbanDoors open: 13:00Show starts: 16:00
