About This Event
Join us for another intimate Sunday afternoon of live music, koeksisters and conversation at the Transatlantic Cultural House. This edition features a powerhouse lineup of local talent: Clayton Pretorius on bass, Uviwe Caso on guitar and Carlo Fabe on drums is the CPF trio exploring the vibrant sounds of contemporary South African jazz. Drawing on Afro-jazz fusion, African rhythms, improvisation and modern musical influences, the musicians bring their individual voices together in a dynamic live experience rooted in Cape Town’s rich and evolving music scene. The musicians form part of the Cape Town Groove Experience, an Afro Jazz Fusion project formed in 2022, known for original compositions that bring together traditional African rhythms, world music influences and contemporary jazz exploration. The CT Groove Experience is an innovative Afro Jazz Fusion quartet pushing the boundaries of modern South African music. Their forward-motion sound seamlessly weaves together traditional African rhythms, rich world music nuances, and sweeping, cinematic electronic textures.
