Hallelujah Anyway #003

HALLELUJAH ANYWAY DANCING AT THE THRESHOLDSaturday, 31 October 2026Merchant & Maker, KommetjieFrom 7pm till lateBehind Halloween lies an older idea: that there are moments when the boundary between worlds grows thin. When the living remember the dead. When we draw a little closer to mystery. When we remember that death is not the opposite of life, but part of its rhythm. On Saturday, 31 October, we gather at that threshold.Between the seen and the unseen. The old and the new. What has passed, and what is waiting to be born.We dress as creatures, spirits, ancestors, gods, fools and ghosts. We honour what has been and we celebrate what is coming alive. We remember that everything we love is temporary - and that this is precisely what makes it precious. And so, we dance and celebrate life in the presence of death.Hallelujah anyway!-- Hallelujah Anyway is a dance party in the Deep South. Through music, movement, art and community, we celebrate life in the face of uncertainty. Because sometimes the best answer is simply to dance! DJ Lineup will be announced closer to the date. Senzu will be providing a bar serving delicious mocktails with magical microdose infusions. Alcohol is BYO."Hard times call for furious dancing" - Alice Walker
