Persephone's Myth | Tanika Live at Hollow Tree

Persephone’s Myth is a solo music and storytelling experience performed by Tanika Paschke-Moloi. Interweaving prose, original songs and audience interaction, the performance draws loosely on Greek mythology to tell a story set in a South African mining town in the early 2000s.When a single father working on a gold mine becomes mysteriously ill and dies suddenly, his daughter is left with unanswered questions. She grows up to become a journalist and travels into the literal “underworld” to investigate the mining industry and uncover what caused his illness.Persephone’s Myth is a solo music and storytelling experience performed by Tanika Paschke-Moloi.
