Alan Mabin’s early work focused on the rise and decline of Port Elizabeth from 1850-1900 and ever since he has followed the fortunes of the city. He has worked in the development field for 40 years and is an emeritus professor of urbanism at Wits University. Join us for a talk on the rise and fall of the city’s economy and listen to Prof Mabin’s thoughts on how community can help the city rise once more.
