Some artists don't simply release music but have lived and seen the South African Song book through its many cycles Kabomo is one of those artists.we’re incredibly excited to finally welcome Kabomo to Untitled Basement for what feels like a long-overdue Johannesburg encounter.For audiences who have followed South African music and popular culture from the 90s through the early 2000s and beyond, Kabomo has been a familiar and distinctive presence. His work has moved across music, television, film, writing, publishing and culture, establishing him as one of South Africa's most versatile and enduring creative voices.A SAMA-winning musician, actor, writer, filmmaker, magazine editor and public speaker, Kabomo has never been confined to one creative discipline.His musical journey has produced a dynamic catalogue that includes All Things Grey, Memory Remains, Sekusile, Unapologetic, All Things Red, and Smoke and Mirrors — records that capture different chapters of an artist who has continued to evolve while remaining unmistakably himself.Many will also recognise him from television, with appearances in some of South Africa's most familiar productions, including Generations, Rhythm City and Check Coast.But perhaps what makes Kabomo's journey so special is his longevity.He has remained present across generations, continually finding new ways to create, collaborate and contribute.
