HOLIDAY ART CLASSESThe Process Studio is facilitated by Xanthe Jackson, a qualified Visual Arts educator and SACE-registered teacher with a passion for helping young people explore their creativity through art.Each workshop is designed to be age-appropriate, engaging and hands-on, with an emphasis on experimentation, creative thinking and enjoying the process of making.Your child doesn't need to be an experienced artist — just bring their curiosity and imagination! AT A GLANCETUESDAY — KANDINSKY & ABSTRACT PASTELSLines, shapes & colourInspired by the abstract work of Wassily Kandinsky, children will experiment with expressive lines, geometric forms and bold colour.They'll explore:Abstract compositionShape and lineColour relationshipsLayeringSoft pastel techniquesTake-home: Pastel Art Kit to continue playing and experimenting & finished artwork from the day.THURSDAY — ACRYLIC PAINTINGColour, paint & processA guided acrylic painting workshop introducing children to the basics of working with acrylic paint.Rather than everyone producing the same picture, learners are given a theme or visual starting point with freedom & guidence for their individual ideas to develop.They'll explore:Colour mixingBrush techniquesLayeringCompositionLight and darkDeveloping an artwork from beginning to endTake-home: Acrylic Paint Art kit, some paint and brushes to play at home.
