For Heritage Day, ROOT remind us where our culture comes from, while leaving space for new branches, new ideas and new ways of expressing who we are.Opening with a zine-making workshop and panel, you’ll have the chance to create your own zine while hearing from artists who have used this independent art form to document, question and shape their voice. In a world increasingly dominated by screens, physical media becomes more important than everFrom there, we step into sonic expression, with an array of DJs moving from ambient and experimental sounds into dance music, live bands bringing their own forms of noise and energy, and special guest Kamiya Law joining us all the way from Austria.A celebration of where we come from, what we’re making now, and where we can grow next.In collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum, Pleasure Palace and Murder One.
