Musik Clinic Seminar

Musik Clinic will take the form of a one-day seminar, bringing together a diverse panel of medical professionals to share specialized knowledge tailored to the needs of musicians. Topics will include injury prevention, body maintenance, recognizing when to seek professional care, and strategies for recovery and rehabilitation. Through this platform, Musik Clinic seeks to foster a culture of awareness, resilience, and proactive health management within the music community in South Africa.Recognizing that many artists lack the knowledge and resources to properly care for their bodies, Musik Clinic was established to bridge this gap. The initiative aims to educate and empower musicians with practical tools and expert insights to support their health, prevent injury, and sustain long, fulfilling careers.Musik Clinic is a forward-thinking wellness initiative founded by acclaimed drummer, composer, and educator Sphelelo Mazibuko. Having spent the past year in treatment for sciatica Mazibuko’s journey to recovery highlighted a critical yet often overlooked reality that musicians, much like athletes, rely heavily on their physical well-being to perform at their best.
