SUMMARY:The Wives of Mandela
DESCRIPTION:The Wives of MandelaWhat does it mean to carry one of the world's most powerful surnames? The Name Does Not Belong to You is a gripping poetry theatre production that brings to life the untold stories of Evelyn Mase\, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela\, and Graça Machel\,three remarkable women whose lives were forever shaped by love\, sacrifice\, politics\, and history.Through powerful spoken word\, choral poetry\, music\, and dramatic performance\, this moving production explores the women behind the name "Mandela." It reveals their struggles\, dreams\, heartbreak\, resilience\, and identities beyond being known as wives of an icon. Their voices challenge history\, confront legacy\, and ask one unforgettable question: Who were these women when the world stopped looking? This is more than a performance—it is a journey through love\, loss\, resistance\, motherhood\, identity\, and the price of carrying a name that changed the world.Join Poetic Saint Poetry Productions for an unforgettable evening of powerful storytelling that honours the women history often placed in the background and invites us to see them in the light they have always deserved.Come witness history through the voices of the women who lived it.
