SUMMARY:A Thousand Strings Candlelight and Picnic Concert: Kaleidoscope Massed Youth Orchestra and Guest Artists
DESCRIPTION:A Thousand Strings brings together over 200 young musicians from across South Africa in a powerful celebration of collaboration\, creativity\, and shared musical experience. This gala concert places young performers at the heart of the Kaleidoscope Festival. Drawing together ensembles from Grey High School\, the Frank Pietersen Music Centre\, Rustenburg High School\, and the ARCO-PACT Strings Project\, the programme unfolds as a dynamic meeting of voices—where improvisation\, energy\, and collective sound create something far greater than the sum of its parts.Grey High SchoolFrank Pietersen Music CentreARCO-PACT Strings ProjectRustenburg High School David Bester\, Lieva Starker\, Maria Raynham (violins)Louise Lansdown\, Jan-Hendrik Harley (violas)Sifiso Mbatha and Tiaan Uys (cellos)Tony Alcock and Mariechen Meyer (double basses)
